French pastry recipe and pie recipe

This recipe for French pastry pie is inspired by my favorite French pastry, blueberry pastry.

It’s a good way to make some delicious french pastries while keeping the sweetness and the tang.

Ingredients 2 1/2 cups blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries 1/4 cup cream 1/3 cup butter 1/8 cup sugar 1/1 cup milk 3 eggs 1/16 teaspoon vanilla 1/10 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons butter, at room temperature 2 teaspoons cream, melted Directions For the pastry filling: In a large bowl, combine the blueberries and cream.

Whisk in the butter and sugar.

Add the eggs and vanilla.

Whizz to combine.

Add milk and eggs and whisk until combined.

Pour the mixture into a large pie dish and shape into a thin, flat crust.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until the crust is lightly golden.

Serve immediately with the buttercream frosting.

Notes To make the butter cream: Melt 1/6 cup butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Add all remaining ingredients and whisk to combine, stirring until smooth.

Notes The filling can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 1 week, or it can be refrigerated overnight.
